10 MATHEMATICS CURRICULUM FOR THE SECONDARY SCHOOL ENABLES STUDENTS TO;





1. Understand definitions, concepts, law principles and theorems related to Numbers, Shape and space, and Relationships.
2. Widen applications of basic fundamental skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division related to Numbers, Shape and space, and Relationships.
3. Acquire basic mathematical skills such as;

  • making estimation and rounding
  • measuring and constructing
  • collecting and handling data
  • representing and interpreting data
  • recognizing and representing relationship mathematically
  • using algorithm and relationship
  • solving problem and 
  • making decision
4. Communicate mathematically.
5. Apply knowledge and the skills of mathematics in solving problems and making decision.
6. Relate mathematics with other areas of knowledge.
7. Use suitable technologies in concept building, acquiring skills, solving problems and exploring the field mathematics.
8. Cultivate mathematical knowledge and skills effectively and responsibly.
9. Inculcate positive attitudes towards mathematics.
10. Appreciate the importance and the beauty of mathematics.

Kuliah minggu 4: Pembentangan Kumpulan



Pada hari Khamis yang lalu, 29 September 2011, kumpulan kami iaitu kumpulan 2A telah membentang tajuk Trend in International  Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). Berikut merupakan butir-butir kuliah kami pada hari tersebut.

Aktiviti: Pembentangan kuliah oleh Kump. 2A dan 2B


Kumpulan 2A telah membentang pengenalan TIMSS, refleksi TIMSS 1995,1999,2003, dan 2007, pencapaian Matematik dan Sains mengikut tanda aras antarabangsa, dan menerangkan faktor pencapaian pelajar antara tahun 1995, 1999,2003 dan 2007, manakala kumpulan 2B pula membentang Peranan Dalam Menyediakan Pelajar secara Global agar Berdaya Saing di Peringkat Antarabangsa.
